Molecular regulation mechanism of vascular pattern formation in plant

    • Vascular tissue morphogenesis is influenced by many kinds of exogenous and endogenous factors jointly during plant ontogeny. It was found that plant hormones, CLE peptide signaling molecules, different transcription factors, thermospermine and NO played important regulating roles in vascular tissue morphogenesis. AUX, CTK, ET, BRs, GA, and other plant hormones jointly regulated proliferation and differentiation process of the procambium and cambium cell; CLE peptides signaling molecules promoted (pro-) cambium cell proliferation and inhibited xylem differentiation; HD-ZIP Ⅲgene families, KAN, NAC, MYB transcription factors, and xylogen were greatly associated with both the arrangement and development of xylem and phloem; thermospermine and NO affected the xylem cells' differentiation. A complex regulating network consisting of various regulatory factors played a key role in the process of plant vascular tissue morphogenesis.
