Effects of nitrogen concentration on growth and flowering of standard chrysanthemum Ziruyi' under light-substrate cultivation

    • In order to study exact nitrogen concentration of light-substrate standard chrysanthemum Ziruyi', using Vpeat:Vvermiculite:Vperlite =1:1:1 as substrate, nitrogen concentration of 100, 150, 180, 210, 240 mg/ L was used for cultivation study. The results showed that in all levels of nitrogen concentration, growth and flowering of Ziruyi'were on normal level, plants never performed deficiency or excessive. With nitrogen concentration changed from 100 to 210 mg/L, plant height, leaf number, flower diameter, stem diameter and leaf acreage performed rising trend. Most indicators decreased in nitrogen concentration of 240 mg/L. Comprehensively, chrysanthemum Ziruyi'reached the best appreciation standard in nitrogen concentration of 210 mg/L, so we regard this concentration as optimal nitrogen concentration in this study.
