Fine characterization techniques of physical and mechanical properties of bamboo fiber in cell level.

    • Bamboo fiber is the most load-bearing component of bamboo and its physical and mechanical properties are important for the utilization of bamboo and bamboo fiber. This paper introduces the advanced technologies and methods, which are used to observe and/or study the various properties of bamboo fiber in cell level. Properties examined include morphology, liquid/surface interphase, thermostability, mechanical properties, as well as the dynamic damage process of bamboo fibers. This initial testing will provide a reference for future refinement of the description and study of the bamboo fiber.
