Abstract
As the basis of ecological environmental process simulation, the spatial distribution of meteorology in mountain area is important to improve the management of ecological environment protection. Considering the impact brought by elevation and slope aspect, this study adopted PRISM to design and develop a temperature interpolation model. Based on the data from automatic weather station and DEM in the mountainous area in western Beijing, we used cross-validation to test the effectiveness of the interpolation, and compared the interpolation results obtained by Inverse distance weighted (IDW), Kriging, and Spline methods which are commonly used. The result shows that the model we developed outperforms the other methods in prediction of daily average air temperature, daily maximum air temperature or daily minimum air temperature.
