    Influence of UF resin and MUF resin on eucalyptus pyrolysis characteristics

    • The influence of UF resin and MUF resin on eucalyptus pyrolysis characteristics was studied in this paper. TGA was taken to study the pyrolysis characteristics of eucalyptus, eucalyptus with 10% UF resin, eucalyptus with 10% MUF resin, UF resin and MUF resin. What's more, dynamics analysis was done to get the mechanism. The results indicated that TG and DTG curves of eucalyptus shifted to the lower temperature stages when 10% UF resin and MUF resin were added into eucalyptus, and the weight loss of eucalyptus with 10% UF resin was more than that of eucalyptus, so UF resin and MUF resin promoted the pyrolysis process of woods. According to Jander's tri-dimensional diffusion equation, the pyrolysis mechanism conformed to 1 - (1 - )1/32 form, the activation energy decreased when UF resin and MUF resin were added into eucalyptus. Therefore, UF resin and MUF resin could decrease the amount of energy used to eucalyptus pyrolysis process.
