Analysis of genetic diversity from different geographical populations in Khaya senegalensis
-
Abstract
The genetic diversity and differentiations among five geographic populations of Khaya senegalensis
were analyzed using sequence-related amplified polymorphism ( SRAP ) markers in this study. 28
primers were chosen from 200 for SRAP polymorphic analysis. The results showed that 59 bands were
polymorphic, making up 76.62% of the total 77 amplified bands. The genetic distance among different
K. senegalensis populations was 0.036 1 - 0.131 7. The general Nei's genetic diversity index was
0.209 3. The general Shannon's information index was 0.330 0. Genetic variation was mainly from
individuals within groups (70.04%), and the gene flow between populations (Nm) was 1.185 8.
