Abstract
In order to provide a reference to electrothermal chemical copper plating geothermal floor,
electroconductivity and electromagnetic shielding effect were test to analyze the relationship of adsorption
loss、reflection loss and skin effect along with different plating thickness. The results were as following:
The electromagnetic shielding effect of copper plating poplar wood veneers mainly resulted from the
reflection loss, so it belonged to reflection loss materials. The surface resistivity of electroless copper
plating poplar wood veneers decreased with the increase of plating thickness. The surface resistivity in
inverse direction was 3 times of that in the transverse direction. The skin depth of electromagnetic wave
that conducted in copper plating disminished with the increase of frequency, and the thickness of
electroless copper plating could be determined by calculating the skin depth, which could save both the
plating time and the plating cost.
