Abstract
To further understand the mechanism of land surface temperature heterogeneity, the ENVI-met
model was introduced to conduct research on vegetation temperature field simulation. Based on the
measurements of meteorological data, soil moisture, vegetation structure, leaf area index and component
temperature, sensitivity analysis and validation of ENVI-met were conducted in an experimental area
including discrete distributed aspen, cedar and pine plantations. Results of sensitivity analysis showed
that humidity was the most sensitive parameter for soil temperature simulations, and solar radiation scale
factor for leaf temperatures. Validation results indicate that ENVI-met can fairly simulate the three-
dimensional temperature distribution of vegetated scenes (the maximum R2 was about 0.9, the least
RMSE was about 0.6 K).
