Abstract
The fire-fighting fan of an axial-flow pneumatic extinguisher makes use of an axial-flow fan. In this study, we analyzed the design features of a high-speed axial-flow fan for the axial-flow pneumatic extinguisher and made an aerodynamic and reverse design for the high-speed axial-flow fan in combination with the theory of blade design in fluid mechanics. The airfoil parameters of the blade-type cross-section and the solid model of distorted blades with variable cross-section were determined. The effective wind speed of the axial-flow pneumatic extinguisher was also analyzed theoretically in combination with the principles of free gas circular jet flows. In the end, we discuss the ways of enhancing the effective wind speed of an axial-flow pneumatic extinguisher.
