Abstract:
In order to study the structure and generation of
Davidia involucrate populations, the authors set up 4 stands according to altitude differences between August 31 and September 7 in 2002 The
D. involucrate populations were investigated by sampling methods. The population structure both in stem size and in height were analyzed, and lifes tables, and survival and death curves were made. Finally, the regeneration of
D. involucrate population was discussed. The results showed that the population was stable in the large size classes and variable in the smaller ones. The population lacked seedlings from sexual reproduction. The regeneration model of
D. involucrate was sexual and asexual reproductions.
