Abstract:
In order to effectively process wood-based panel waste by pyrolysis technology process, the effects of
adhesives on wood pyrolysis liquid products was studied in this paper. GC/ MS technique was used to
analyze the pyrolysis liquids of eucalyptus, eucalyptus with 10% UF resin, eucalyptus with 10% MUF
resin, UF resin and MUF resin. The results showed that the composition of eucalyptus pyrolysis liquid
was complex, in which the relative content of 2,5-dimethylfuran reached 27.54%, and that of 2-hydroxy-
3-methyl-2-cyclopenten-1-one and 4-( 2-oxopropyl )-2-cyclohexen-1-one were 7.03% and 7.01%
respectively, and 2,6-dimethoxy-phenol was 9.47%. The relative amount of nitrogenous substance in
the pyrolysis liquids of eucalyptus with UF resin was 22.92% more than that in the pyrolysis liquid of
eucalyptus wood. The pyrolysis liquid could be utilized in the production of fertilizer and soil amendment.
The composition in the pyrolysis liquid of eucalyptus with MUF resin contained xylose and butyrrolactone
which could not be detected in the pyrolysis liquid of eucalyptus. This study could provide theoretical
foundation for utilization of the abandoned wood-based panel rationally.
