Abstract:
Based on the research of five different forest types and different damage degrees after the invasion of
Bursaphelenchus xylophilus(pine wood nematode,PWN) in Fuyang County,Zhejiang Province, from the view of growth increment, biomass dynamics and timber outturn, the changes of plant community's function caused by the invasion of PWN were analyzed. On one hand, the impact of PWN's invasion on the forest stand growth showed that the invasion of PWN had a significant impact on the diameter and volume growth of the pine, but PWN only seldom affected the height growth of the pine.On the other hand, the integrated studying result of the above function aspects showed that under the disturbance of removal of infected trees attractant, the average growth level of special stand reached a climax. Moreover,if the average growth increment of unattacked Masson pine in the infected forest stand is to be maintained,a series of protecting measures must be taken.
