Abstract:
Contents of soluble sugared(ss),free amino acid(aa),solube protein(sp) and weight(w) in ovule, ovulliferous scale and the suspended culture cell, which was induced from the ovules of female sterile line and fertile line of
Pinus tabulaeformis Carr.,were compared at the stages of ovule dormancy breaking(Ⅰ),free nuclei gametophytes stopping division(Ⅱ) and ovule aborted(Ⅲ) of sterile line. The results showed that the contents of ss,aa and sp in sterile line ovule were all lower than those in fertile line at the Ⅰ period;ss as well as aa were higher and sp was lower than those in fertile line at the Ⅱ period;at the Ⅲ period, only aa was higher than that in fertile line.In the process of ovule development,w and the contents of aa in sterile line were increasing, while ss and sp were decreasing. There was an upward trend in the contents of fresh weight(fw) and sp in fertile line, and a downward trend in the contents of ss and aa.According to the developmental stages,on the conditions of same nutrient material and phytohormone,at the corresponding developing periods, the changing patterns of the contents(fw,ss,aa,sp)
in vitro ovules and the suspended culture cell were similar to those in ovules of the fertile line. The contents of fw and sp of sterile line were higher and ss together with aa were lower than those in fertile line in the three development periods.Sterile line and fertile line at their three developing stages had distinct differences on the contents of fw,ss,aa and sp and had striking dissimilarity on the contents of ss,aa and sp.The development of ovuliferous and ovule showed correlationship. It is concluded that the turbulence of metabolism of ss,aa and sp made by insufficient content and absonant partnership of nutrient material and phytohormone of ovule may be the reason of ovule abortion in the female-sterile line of
P.tabulaeformis.
