Abstract:
In order to research the behavioral responses of
Semanotus bifasciatus to the volatiles of
Platycladus orientalis,the composition of volatile compounds and the daily variation of emission rates from the normal and damaged branches of healthy or feeble
P.orientalis were investigated through the method of TCT-GCMS.Results showed that the main composition of volatile compounds from
P.orientalis was terpenes compounds.The composition of volatile compounds and their daily variation of emission rates from healthy or feeble
P.orientalis branches were different.However,the composition of volatile compounds and their daily variation of emission rates had been changed after the branches being damaged whether they were healthy or feeble.
